Description

The Grove is a house dating from around 1840, constructed from squared sandstone with rubble returns and a rear section. It features a stone-flagged roof and stone chimney stacks.

The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with flush quoins. There are two steps leading up to the central entrance, which has a replaced six-panel door and an overlight set in a projecting tooled surround. The windows are 16-pane sashes, also in similar surrounds. The roof has coped gables, and the end stacks are detailed with top bands and water tables.
