Description
The former chapel, now used as a workshop and store room, was built in 1827, as indicated on the door surround. The east elevation features coursed squared sandstone, with rubble on the returns and rear, along with quoins and ashlar dressings. There is a brick addition, and the roof is covered with graduated grey slates and has stone gable copings. The building is one high storey with five bays. The east elevation is symmetrical, with plain stone surrounds to a renewed door in the second bay and a blocked door in the fourth bay. It also has similar surrounds to large sash windows at the end stairs, smaller gallery sashes above the doors, and a large central sash window with a two-centred arch and impost blocks; all windows have glazing bars, with the central window featuring intersecting bars. The roof includes moulded kneelers and small square banded end chimneys. The rear, or west elevation, has similar fenestration to the east. On the right return, there is an inserted vehicle entrance and a loading door to the left of a one-storey part addition, which has two Gothic-shaped lights in the window. The interior has not been inspected.
