Description
This is a byre attached to the right of Humbleton Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with dressed quoins and has a pantiled roof. The building is single storey with a loft above and features five narrow bays. In the fourth bay from the left, there are two Dutch doors with a hit-and-miss window to the right. To the left, there are two hit-and-miss windows and another Dutch door. The windows have flush lintels and projecting sills. The right side of the building has an external stone staircase that leads to a first-floor boarded door. The rear of the byre includes three cart sheds. The roof has slightly projecting eaves and a catslide at the back over the cart sheds. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
