Description
Humbleton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of snecked sandstone with dressed quoins and some rubble in the lower courses, topped with a flagged roof and brick stacks. The building has a hearth-passage plan and stands two storeys high with three wide bays.
The entrance features a 20th-century door set in a gabled wood porch located in the third bay from the left. The facade includes three 19th-century four-pane sash windows with projecting sills, and there is a blocked fire window to the left of the door. On the first floor, there are a 16-pane sash window and two 12-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows, along with a blocked window above the doorway. The eaves slightly project, and the flat-coped gables have shaped kneelers.
The left end stack has a single stone course, a water table, and a rebuilt brick chimney, while both the ridge and right end stacks have been rebuilt. At the rear, there is a later single-storey outshut and a low, short gabled wing. An attached garage is located to the left, and a stable is situated at the rear, neither of which are of special interest.
