Description
Broadwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition at the rear. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone, featuring quoins and painted tooled ashlar dressings. The roof is stone-flagged and has stone gable copings, along with ashlar, rendered, and brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the central bay being wider. To the left, there is a partly-glazed four-panel door, and to the right of the central bay, there is a late 19th-century sash window located at stair level. Both the door and window have plain stone surrounds, as do similar windows in the outer bays. The low-pitched roof is accented by gable copings on curved kneelers and small square end chimneys.
