Description

SHINCLIFFE SHINCLIFFE ROAD NZ 24 SE 2/103 Shincliffe Bridge II Road bridge, c.1826 by Ignatius Bonomi. Rock-faced sandstone and ashlar. 2 large elliptical arches and central triangular cutwaters rising to canted refuges. Prominent roll-moulding set back on arches. Parapets are ashlar- faced on road side, with chamfered coping, and end in low rectangular piers with chamfered coping. West side has C20 footpath added and north pier of parapet removed.
