Description
A barn, likely dating from the later 18th century, is constructed of squared rubble with roughly-shaped dressings, and has a graduated stone slate roof. The south elevation is two storeys tall and comprises five bays. A stable door is set within an irregular surround of large blocks near the right end; a central pitching door, now glazed, is flanked by tall slit vents, all within similar surrounds. Coped gables are present. The right return shows a small ground-floor window, two tall slit vents, and an arched opening for pigeons, now glazed, above an alighting shelf in the gable. The rear elevation reveals a boarded double door within a central segmental arch, with tall slit vents above. A farmhouse attached to the barn was remodelled in the later 19th century and is not considered to be of group value.
