Description

The Rutter tomb, located approximately 25 metres south of the Church of St. Mary in Middleton in Teesdale, dates from around 1752 and commemorates Robert Rutter. It is made of sandstone and stands about one metre high. The tomb features a dome-headed centre that is flanked by fluted pilasters, and it is topped with a continuous dentilled cornice.
