Description

The garden walls and outbuilding located to the south of Hutton Hall farmhouse date from the early 18th century. They are constructed of roughly-coursed rubble with cut dressings, and the outbuilding features a roof made of stone slates. The low front wall has rough gabled coping that ramps up at each end, with the left end wall extending beyond the garden to create a ramp down of coping. The return walls are similar, with coping that ramps up again before connecting to the outer corners of the Hall wings. The right return includes a boarded door set in a panelled surround, complete with a panelled keystone and mid-blocks on the jambs, and to the left, there is a double three-step mounting block. The left return features a boarded door beneath a timber lintel. Behind the short west extension of the front wall, there is a small pent outbuilding.
