Description
The outbuilding and attached garden wall located to the east of Walton Hall date from the early 19th century and have undergone later alterations. Constructed from red brick, the building features a plain tile roof, brick gable stacks positioned halfway down the roof pitch, and a stepped brick eaves band. The garden walls are topped with flat stone or chamfered brick copings.
The outbuilding is a single storey with an attic and consists of two bays. The south elevation includes a segment-headed door to the west, which features an early 19th-century bowed half-glazed panelled door. To the east, there is an inserted half-glazed door with a hipped roof dormer above. The east gable wall has a segment-headed small pane window on the ground floor and a blind segment-headed window above it. The north elevation features a segment-headed doorcase to the west and an inserted fixed pane window to the east, with a segment-headed window beyond that has a bowed fixed pane window.
Inside, there is an oval room between the two western doors, which has a plaster cornice, but the rest of the interior is quite simple. The attached garden wall at the south-west corner stands about 10 feet high and runs south before turning west to connect with the hall. This structure is included for its group value only.
