Description

The gate piers and walls, located 20 metres north-west of Headlam Hall, date from the early 20th century. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar for the piers and rubble for the walls. The piers are square in plan, topped with pyramidal caps and ball finials, and are connected to ramped, quadrant walls that feature flat coping. An elaborate pair of ornamental wrought-iron gates from the early 20th century is included. These structures are noted for their group value with Headlam Hall.
