Description
Woodlands House is a two-storey building featuring roughcast render and slate roofs, with generally 12-pane sash windows. The entrance faces the road to the west. At each end of the house, there are pedimented blocks with one window each, where the first floor has a 12-pane sash window and the ground floor has a single-storey splayed bay window. Between these blocks, set back, is a two-window section with a verandah supported by openwork columns, featuring a central double-leaf door flanked by 12-pane sash windows.
On the south elevation, there are two similar pedimented blocks, also with 12-pane sash windows on the first floor and splayed bays on the ground floor. Between these blocks, set back, is a bay with a 12-pane sash window on the first floor and a doorway beneath a large modern porch on the ground floor. To the east, there is an extensive block of outbuildings. The left (north) return is in a similar style. To the east, at right angles, there is a block with a deep pediment over two oval oculi and a ground floor wooden verandah. At the north end, there is a lean-to garage or carriage shed.
