Description
Cwrt-y-mwnws Lock is a rectangular lock chamber constructed from squared sandstone rubble, featuring tooled sandstone copings. There is a rebate for a removed lock gate on the east side, with splayed retaining cheek walls extending beyond it. At the west end, there is a rubble weir accompanied by splayed retaining walls. A 20th-century timber bridge spans the lock chamber, and there is a brick-lined overflow culvert located to the south.
