Description

House of mixed Revival style, of Old Red Sandstone rubble with Bath stone dressings; continuous cill course, hipped slate roofs, deep eaves and ashlar chimney stacks. Sash windows with upper lights of small panes and large single pane lower lights.

Two storey ‘L’ shaped plan, main entrance front of three bays on north east, central entrance with Bath stone surround and canopy, with narrow paired window and raised wreath panel above. ‘Garden’ elevation to south west of two projecting full height bays, then set back to right 2 bays offset to right in the return and further two bays to right, boarded door with overlight offset to right with small side window to left, single bay at extreme left, and to right full height bay with plain window on the ground floor and Bath stone window to first floor. Single ground floor window in the south east elevation. North east elevation of 8 bays, full height bay to right then three full size windows and then four narrow windows irregularly spaced. On the ground floor a ‘shopfront’ with door to right side in the 3 left hand bays and two small windows to right.
