Description

96 and 98 Mill Street

A semi-detached pair of early/mid C19 'Tudor Revival' cottages. They are wholly rendered and have Welsh slate roofs with red brick stacks. Two tiny one storey and attic cottages with only small rear extensions. Central paired entrances with doors with vertical plank doors with central glazed panel, moulded 4-centred heads and recessed spandrels, dripmoulds over. These are flanked by 2-light casements with pointed headed lights and dripmoulds, 3 panes to each window. Similar 2-light gabled dormers with slated cheeks, shaped bargeboards and finials, these are above the doors. Roof with gable ends and scalloped bargeboards, rebuilt red brick stack at either end. The left hand gable has a similar 2-light casement on the upper floor. The rear elevation has two more gabled dormers.

This house has the window to the left and the door to the right.

Not inspected at time of resurvey.
