Description

The garden wall of Pen-y-mynde is a grade II listed structure made of coursed squared local red sandstone and conglomerate rubble, standing between 4 to 5 meters high. The wall features castellations along Mill Street, and at the corner with Castle Lane, there is a square turret approximately 7 meters tall. The wall decreases in height as it continues along Castle Lane, and it appears that the castellations may have been removed from this section. There is a pointed arch doorway leading to a modern splayed entrance to Pen-y-mynde. The wall stretches about 50 meters along each street. The interior face of the wall has not been observed.
