Description
The Hall is a Grade II listed building featuring an L-shaped plan, with the original block facing the street and a later wing at the rear. Both sections are two storeys high with an attic and topped with Welsh slate roofs. The main front, which is smooth rendered, has a central entrance and includes three sash windows with 6 over 6 panes, while the ground floor features the central and right-hand windows with 6 over 9 panes that extend to the ground. Although the original front door was likely in the central position, the house is now accessed from the rear. The front also has three later flat-headed dormers with 4 + 4 pane casements, a plain roof with gable ends, and a multi-flue stack on the right.
The rear elevation of the original block is mostly obscured by the later wing, leaving only one tripartite sash window visible. This rear wing is a large early 20th-century extension designed in the Voysey 'Lakeland' style, though it is quite plain. It features a glazed door and stone framed leaded lattice windows, while the attic windows have been replaced with plastic. The building was not inspected during the time of resurvey.
