Description

The barn at Wyelands Home Farm is a Grade II listed building constructed from local rubble stone and topped with Welsh slate roofs. This large, plain barn features tall, elliptically headed doors that lead to the threshing floor, facing the foldyard, with opposing doors located in a projecting gabled porch at the rear. The yard elevation includes two tiers of slit vents, while the rear elevation has lean-to sheds flanking the porch. Inside, the barn has a five-bay roof supported by queen strut trusses made of sawn pine, which are bolted together with iron bolts.
