Description
The Stable Block at Wyelands is a 19th-century building made of plastered rubble stone, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof. The front features two double coach doors with original joinery in the center, flanked by smaller doors on either side for the stable and tack room. At the back, there are two 18 over 18 pane sash windows at each end to illuminate the stable and tack room, with a smaller window in between. These windows overlook the walled garden, and there is an additional lean-to bothy at the right end.
Inside, the stable block includes a coach house, tack room, and stable, all in remarkably unaltered condition. The stable contains a loose-box and stalls, all featuring panelling along with cast iron posts and rails. A small bothy is attached to the rear, facing into the walled garden.
