Description
The Old Windmill is a small-scale structure built from rubble, with walls approximately 1 meter thick that taper slightly and are offset below the current wall head. It features three original openings, possibly four. There is a former narrow staircase leading to the upper floor on the south side. A doorway on the southwest has rubble jambs, and there may be a window above it. Opposite this doorway is a second opening, likely a window, with a doorway above it; the heads of both openings are broken. An intact slit window is present on the upper floor to the south.
Inside, there are three tiers of beam slots, which also indicate the presence of stairs from the ground to the first floor. A plaster line suggests that there was once a continuation of the structure to the top floor. The diameter of the building indicates that it likely housed one pair of millstones.
