Description

The Old Point House is a building featuring random rubble masonry walls that are about 0.6 meters thick in its original section. Two windows, one in the parlour and one in the chamber above, have been blocked up, which has helped to preserve evidence of the original window sizes. The remaining windows are all late 19th century two-pane sashes that are recessed, with the ground storey windows having been raised. The entrance has a plain boarded door, and there are end chimneys along with a main chimney located to the right of the central unit.

Inside, the central unit contains a 19th century cast-iron kitchen range, and there was previously a large oven next to it, which is now blocked. The timbering of the chamber floor above the central unit is irregular, with some beams showing slight curvature.
