Description
Elm Cottages is a two-storey house built with roughcast and a slate roof, featuring red brick end stacks. The front has a three-window range with two pairs of casement windows on each floor. The center has a blank window above the door, which has six flush panels and is sheltered by a gabled timber hood. The lower windows are larger, with eight panes each, while the upper windows have six panes. There is visible rubble stone in the right gable above an attached outbuilding, which is also roughcast but has a corrugated iron roof. The outbuilding has a blocked center window and a two-light window in its rubble stone end wall.
Inside, the ground floor includes a kitchen with a large fireplace that has a cast iron range, a small back kitchen, a room to the left, and stairs.
