Description
Leburnham Cottage is a two-storey building constructed from local random rubble, which has been painted over, and features a natural slate roof. It has a double depth plan with an additional service range at the rear in the yard.
The front elevation has been altered; the original paired doorways in the center now include a window where the right-hand doorway used to be. The ground floor has three windows and a part-glazed door, all featuring elliptical brick heads. The first floor has two windows positioned above the outer ground floor windows. All windows are 3-light leaded lattice casements. The roof is plain with stone stacks at either gable.
On the left return gable, there is a single window on the ground floor at the rear, while the right return gable is blind. The rear elevation is partly visible and includes late 20th-century casement windows on the upper floor. There is a single-storey range at the back of the yard that contains a woodshed, wash-house, coal store, and other utility spaces.
The interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
