Description
Tre-Elidyr is a small cottage built in the 17th century style with Arts-and-Crafts influences. Constructed from squared, uncoursed, rock-faced red sandstone rubble, it features a weatherboarded extension and stone-tiled roofs. The cottage is single storey with an attic, consisting of two bays and a doorway located to the right of the center. The entrance has a plank door with a small gabled porch, which is a later addition indicated by the drip behind it.
To the left of the door, there is a two-light lattice casement window with a drip mould above, and similar windows are found in two gabled dormers. The roof is steeply pitched and has a stack at each gable. The left return gable has two additional windows on each floor, while the right return gable features one window on each floor and a stair window at the half-landing. Attached to the cottage is a single-storey weatherboarded wing that includes a WC and coal store. The rear elevation has a three-light and a two-light window, along with two more dormers and small windows in the extension. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
