Description

The Queen's Head Buildings is a former inn that has been converted into offices and accommodation. The structure features walls that are rendered with scored stucco and a slate roof with a brick end stack. It stands two storeys tall with an attic in the central gable, which has plain bargeboards. The gable includes one 15-pane sash window, while the first floor has three 18-pane sash windows. On the ground floor, there are paired 18-pane sashes to the right, all set in exposed moulded frames with shallow reveals. The central entrance consists of a 4-panelled door topped by a triangular bracketed wooden pediment, and to the left is a cambered headed arched carriage entrance. The building has a plinth and extends to the rear with a series of single storey brick and stone extensions. The rear of the main building is unrendered and features brick voussoirs above the arch.
