Description
Nos. 9 and 10 Lower Church Street are a pair of late Georgian townhouses that are attached to each other on either side. The walls are rendered and painted in contrasting colors, and the buildings have a machine-tile roof with brick stacks at the ends. They rise three storeys, which are separated by platbands. The front features a three-window arrangement, with the center window being blind. The windows are 12-pane horned sashes set in exposed frames, while the ground floor has a tripartite window on the left. At the center, there are paired doorways with brackets, sheltered by a continuous shallow hood.
Inside, the staircase is designed to ascend at right angles to the front of the house, located behind the drawing room, and features stick balusters.
