Description
Nos. 9-12 (consec) Almshouse Street Red brick with Bath stone quoins and Welsh slate roof. Single fronted double depth houses with two parallel ranges. Three storeys, the whole having four windows and with five doors on the ground floor, one being the access to the rear. The ground floor is arranged D : W : W : D : D : W : D : D, the doors being vertical plank ones. The windows are 3 over 6 pane sashes except for the top floor which has 3 over 3 ones. Low pitch roof with two large ridge stacks set between each pair of houses. The west gable end is rendered where it rises above the roof of No. 8, ad the gable of the rear range can be seen. Rear elevation is rendered and has plain casement windows.
Interior restructured in late C20 but retains very small rooms. Only No. 11 was seen at resurvey.
