Barn at Little Pool Hall

The barn at Little Pool Hall is a 17th-century structure featuring a rubble stone gable wall and long walls that rise to about 2 meters. The upper sections of each long wall are timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a hipped corrugated metal roof. The south gable has been rebuilt in 20th-century blockwork.

There are central opposing doorways with flat canopies that extend on timber brackets. The northwest side retains both double doors, while the southeast side has only one half door. The lower barn wall includes three doorways with flat timber lintels and a small window that once served a cowhouse.

Inside, the barn is a seven-bay corn barn with a stone-flagged threshing floor. The walls are box framed with angle-braces at the base plate. The main posts are supported by brackets attached to the tie beam. The roof structure consists of collar and tie beam trusses with raking struts and three tiers of purlins. A lofted cowhouse was previously located at the lower end of the barn.
