Description
The barn at Hadnock Court is a Grade II listed building constructed from very roughly coursed local red sandstone rubble and topped with a corrugated steel roof. It is a large threshing barn featuring opposing doors that are not centrally located, along with tiers of slit vents on either side. The gables also have slit vents and high up taking-in doors for the haylofts.
Inside, the barn consists of a single space with the hayloft tallets missing and a paved threshing floor. The roof is a five-bay queen strut design with collars, two tiers of purlins, a ridge piece, and approximately half of the rafters are original.
