Description
26 Agincourt Square is a three-storey building constructed with smooth stucco and a paint finish, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building features a slightly curved frontage as Agincourt Square transitions into Priory Street. It has three windows arranged in a 2 + 1 configuration. The left side has six over six pane sashes on the ground floor and three over six pane sashes on the second floor. There is a recessed doorway with two plain columns leading to a six-panel door, which is accessed by four steps.
On the right side, there is a large early 20th-century shop window with an iron balcony above it, which serves the first-floor window. This window has French casements with marginal glazing and is covered by a plain canopy. Above, there is another three over six sash window. The building features raised lettering that reads "THE MARKET TAVERN" in the center. The eaves overhang, and the roof has a low pitch with paired stacks on the rear slope. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the interior details were not available during the resurvey.
