Description

The Morgan memorial is a stone headstone located in the churchyard of St Tysoi. It features a carved top panel depicting a recumbent figure tightly holding a draped urn, set against a rustic background of an oak tree. Below this, there are two low relief arched panels with a snake-entwined staff between them. The left plaque is dedicated to Ann Morgan, who died in 1835 at the age of 20, while the right plaque commemorates her parents, Ann who died in 1840 and John who died in 1852. Each plaque includes inscribed encomia in tiny letters.
