Description
Cemetery Lodge is a tall building designed in the Gothic Revival style. It is constructed from coursed roughly dressed stone with ashlar dressings and has a pebble-dashed side. The roof is steep-pitched and covered with plain tiles, featuring dentil eaves, gable copings with moulded kneelers, and apex stones. There is a gabled dormer that includes small paired shouldered lights. The lodge has a single storey and an attic.
The main front has grouped lancet windows under relieving arches, all within an ashlar surround, with three windows on the left and two on the right, though the glazing has been replaced. At the center, there is a porch topped with a steeply gabled tiled roof, supported by corbels, and featuring a chamfered shouldered doorway with a replaced door. The building has a battered plinth. On one gable end, there is a hipped stone-roofed shallow bay that contains three shouldered lights. The lodge has been extended at the rear.
