Description
Ivy House is a Georgian townhouse that has been rendered and painted, featuring a slate roof with swept bracketed overhanging boarded eaves and a tall brick end stack on the right side. The building stands two storeys high, with raised quoins on the right side. It has a symmetrical frontage with a three-window range of sash windows: the first floor includes a 16-pane window on the side and a 12-pane window in the center, while the ground floor has a tripartite window arrangement.
The central doorway is framed by a gabled panelled doorcase with narrow pilasters, leading to a recessed six-panelled door topped with a fanlight that has radial glazing. The building features a plinth, and iron railings with spear finials extend across the frontage, set on a low brick kerb with a lower central gate.
Inside, Ivy House retains some original doors, shutters, and fireplaces, but the layout has been reorganised into two flats.
