Description
The remains of the churchyard cross at the Church of Saint Peter date back to an earlier period. It features a single stone square pedestal that is broached with keel-shaped broaches to form an octagonal shape. The base of the shaft is also broached to an octagonal form with similar broaches. The cross is elevated on four steps, which have squared blocks for the risers and large coping stones for the treads, with the lower copings displaying a moulded edge. The two lowest steps are notably high, while the other steps decrease in height. There are signs of 19th-century repairs on the south side, which utilized old gravestones.
