Description
The Former St Peter's Infants School is a single-storey building constructed in stone, featuring five bays arranged in a rectangular plan and two porches. It is made of quarry-face snecked stone with red brick dressings and has a slate roof. The main elevation displays five equally spaced windows, each with chamfered red brick surrounds, cambered arches, and angled, tooled stone sills. There are six square metal ventilation grills set into the wall. The south wall has a similar window arrangement. At the gable apex, there is a bellcote topped with a crucifix. The south porch is set back from the main elevation and has a doorway with a chamfered red brick surround. The return north wall is rendered and features a single large window with a yellow brick surround and stone sill. A much later red brick porch is attached to this elevation. The interior was not accessible during the inspection.
