Description
The canal bridge at Shop Lock on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is a hump-backed structure integrated into the northern canal lock. It is constructed of rubblestone and features a single segmental arch made of dressed sandstone voussoirs. The parapets have flat coping, and the abutments splay outwards on each side to square piers. On the northwest side, the bridge returns along the lock and includes two stone seats, with an additional seat built into the northwest parapet.
