Description
Pont Bedwas is a two-span bridge with a slightly ramped deck, built from roughly coursed dark grey stone. It features wide segmental arches made of voussoirs. Each side has a central triangular cutwater that rises to the top of the parapets, with the lower parts having been refaced. The parapets are continuous and have splayed ends, topped with flat coping stones, some of which have been replaced. On the internal side of the west parapet, there is a marker stone with an inscription that is much eroded, reading "DISTRICT/ --- /18-5," which likely indicates the date of construction.
