Description
Ton-eithin is a building constructed of limewashed rubble, featuring a roof made of both Welsh and artificial slate, along with brick ridge stacks, one of which is made of yellow brick. The structure has a roughly T-shaped plan, with the older wing of the house located at the rear. This wing has a renewed window on each floor. Attached at a right angle to this wing is the cowshed, which includes a doorway, a ground floor opening, and a pitching door above.
The front of the building, dating from the mid-19th century, is symmetrical and features 9-pane sash windows at the first floor level on either side of a brick front porch that has a boarded door and a flagstone floor. Below, there are 12-pane sash windows, with some renewal on the left side, all framed with brick voussoirs and stone sills. The attached byre range includes triangular ventilators. Additionally, there is a small single-storey extension from the 20th century on the uphill side.
