Description
Capel y Babell is a small chapel constructed of whitewashed stone, featuring a half-hipped Welsh slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles. It has two tall round-headed windows with renewed multipane glazing on each end elevation, and a datestone at the front. The chapel includes a square-headed recessed side door with a moulded render surround and an adjacent lateral chimney. The sides of the building are flanked by remodelled railed walls that enclose the cemetery.
Inside, the chapel retains a pulpit located by the gable-end wall, an organ, four pews, an altar rail, and a fire grate. However, it has been converted for use as a visitor centre and includes additional modern fittings.
