Description
The gateway and gate at the western boundary of Talygarn is made of freestone and is set back from the road. It features a round-headed arch with stressed jambs and voussoirs, along with panelled spandrels. The top has a moulded saddleback coping that is crowned by three ball finials. The single round-headed iron gate includes decorative scrollwork on the lock rail and is fitted within a matching ironwork frame. The flanking walls, made of snecked stone, curve outwards and downwards, topped with freestone coping, and end in square rock-faced piers that have moulded caps.
