Description
Nos. 18-24 Pen-y-dre is a terrace of four houses built from red and blue brick, featuring low pitched hipped roofs covered with small slates. The buildings have five tall lateral and ridge stacks, along with overhanging boarded eaves. The symmetrical design consists of five bays shared among the four dwellings, with the centre right and centre left bays recessed, creating a stepped frontage for each house, which includes two windows on each floor. The windows are 16-pane sashes with architraves and narrow sills, while the front doors are boarded and part-glazed. The end units, nos. 18 and 24, have round arched side entrances and two first-floor side windows, maintaining the stepped frontage. The central units, nos. 20 and 22, feature front doors located at the angle between the recessed and projecting bays. There is a round-arched passageway at the centre of the terrace, which has a plaque reading 'CWC 1921 GVS'.
