Description
The railings, gates, and dwarf wall at the north section of St John's Churchyard are constructed with grey rock-faced stone and feature moulded capstones. The wrought iron railings are adorned with leaf finials and include a band of quatrefoils above a band of open trefoils, along with lower intermediate railings that have arrow finials. The taller posts are topped with fleur-de-lys finials. At the corners where the lane aligns with the market, there are wrought iron piers decorated with wrought-iron leaves and quatrefoils in the panels, Gothic finials at the corners, and fleur-de-lys at the centre. The gates leading into the churchyard match this decorative style.
