Description

The War Memorial Cross at St Saviour’s Church is a stone cross located in the churchyard. It features a gabled cross with a figure of Christ, which is supported by a tapering shaft. The base of the shaft is octagonal and includes a tablet with the inscription:

"To the glory of God this Calvary was erected in memory of those who died in the Great War 1914-1918 and restored to commemorate those who died in the 2nd World War and subsequent conflicts. May they rest in peace."

The memorial stands on a stepped and shaped octagonal plinth, which has additional tablets listing the names of the fallen.
