Description
Carn Ingli and Cerrig Llwyd are a pair of semi-detached houses featuring lower short rear cross wings. Constructed from Portland stone with fine ashlar and dark joints, the houses have roofs made of small slates. They display raised ashlar coping at the gable ends and kneelers, along with a central ridge stack that has moulded bands, as well as additional stacks at the rear and cross gables.
The windows are horned sashes with leaded quarry glazing, set in wooden frames within stone surrounds. Each house is two stories tall, with a shallow first-floor bay that is corbelled out. The gabled roof includes a diamond datestone, triple-light mullioned windows, and square hoodmoulds, along with a 4-pane sash window on the side.
On the ground floor, there is a similar wider 4-light window, and to the side, a flat hood supported by decorative brackets covers a Tudor-arched doorway that features a boarded door and a small side hall window. The left side elevation includes a first-floor oriel-type canted bay with a pitched roof made of ashlar slabs, and above it is an inscription stone that reads 'JET'. The houses also have a rockfaced stone plinth.
