Description
The Bakehouse and Donkey Stable at Castleton Farmhouse is a single-storey structure dating from the 18th century. It is constructed with lime render over local limestone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with a red brick chimney. The building consists of two units: on the left is the donkey stable, which has a plank door and a taking-in door in the gable for a small hayloft. On the right is the farm bakehouse, which includes a plank door and a small 1 over 1 pane window to the left, along with the stack for the oven on the right gable. The rear elevation is plain and featureless. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey, but the building appears to be unaltered.
