Description

The remains of Dinas Powis Castle are located at the northwest end of a long, narrow ridge that runs northwest to southeast. This ridge is steep on all sides except the southeast and is covered in trees and scrub. The castle remains include an enclosure measuring 65 meters by 53 meters, surrounded by curtain walling, and the stump of a tower. The curtain wall encloses a roughly rectangular area at the top of the ridge. The interior of the enclosure is cleared, 1.5 meters thick, and roughly coursed. Only in the southeast corner are any of the window and door dressings still visible.
