Description
The Old Dairy at Cwrt-yr-Ala is a small building designed in the Gothick style, located at the edge of a pond. It is constructed from lime-plastered stone, which was originally limewashed in ochre colors but is now white. The building features a slate roof, part of which is artificial, and has wide boarded scalloped-edged eaves that create a canopy. At the base, there is a stone plinth that forms a step. Although all openings are now blocked, they originally included a centrally located arched doorway on the right, an arched window to the right, a second arched doorway to the left in a stepped back bay, and another arched window at the far left. The gable end facing downstream has a yellow brick boarded opening beneath a higher blocked opening. Extending downstream from the main structure are low brick and stone sheds and pens.
