Description
23 High Street is a two-storey building featuring a three-unit frontage. The center section projects with a gabled roof and is constructed of exposed stone rubble, while the end units have ground floor walls of exposed stone rubble and stuccoed cladding on the upper front wall. The roofs are slate-covered and gabled.
On the southeast end, there is a wing that includes a new neo-Georgian shop window and a round-headed doorway with a modern glazed door on the ground floor, along with a two-light window above. The center gable has a new shop front on the ground floor, which replaced a two-light window, and features a renewed pair of sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, plus a small attic window. The northwest wing has a round-headed doorway on the right and a new neo-Georgian shop front on the left, with two sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor.
