Description

The building consists of bee boles and a stile located in the garden wall at Gilfach-uchaf farm. The dry-stone northern wall extends east from the house and curves around to enclose the eastern end of the garden. There are three bee boles built into the wall, featuring open-fronted recesses that are aligned side by side. Each bole measures approximately 45 centimeters wide, 38 centimeters high, and 30 centimeters deep, with the base for the skips positioned about 50 centimeters above the original garden level. The stile is located in the same wall, approximately 2 meters south of the last bee bole, providing access to a path leading to the nearby Gilfach-ganol farm. It consists of a stone slab that stands about 0.54 meters high above the step on each side of the wall, with the slab set in a rebate within the dry-stone jambs of the wall.
