Description
7 Market Street is a building featuring whitewashed plaster on rubble with a painted plinth. It has a steeply pitched new slate roof with plain eaves and a brick end stack.
On the first floor, there are five windows, of which two are blocked with false sashes and three have modern windows. The window reveals are plain, and the sills are made of stone.
The shop front for No. 6, dating from the 19th century, includes plain pilasters and brackets, with a modern blind box. It has a three-light transomed shop window and a recessed doorway to the left, which features a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight. There is also a former house doorway to the left with a modern doorway beside it.
No. 7 has an early 20th-century shop front that features a central double doorway with a half-glazed door and a rectangular fanlight, flanked by two-light shop windows. This front also includes plain pilasters, brackets, and a blind box.
